Team Meal Upgraders Wins the Add Me Big Brother Naija Sponsored Task

The Big Brother Naija Season 11 house takes on a fresh sponsored challenge as Chimsom Chuka reads out the brief for the Add Me task, splitting the housemates into three teams through a lucky dip selection ahead of an evening filled with cooking, styling and presentations.

Team Add Me Meal Upgraders is made up of Oyin, Bells, Sheba, Goddessa, Bluethopia, Abi and Ricky. Team Add Me Taste Boosters includes Chimsom Chuka, Araga, Tram, Gerard, Temi Nkem and Aikou, while Team Add Me Flavour Builders is formed of Flora, Barry, Yusuf, Keivo, Nomy and Sultex. After studying the product information booklet carefully, the teams head into the arena for the first round of competition.

The First Two Rounds

The opening game, called Addme Effect, pairs up a Maker and a Seeker from each team. The Maker is responsible for cooking while the Seeker completes an obstacle course, with no communication allowed between the two. Abi represents the Meal Upgraders as Maker, Araga takes on the role for the Taste Boosters, and Barry does the same for the Flavour Builders, with all three coincidentally preparing a chicken flavoured dish. Sheba serves as Abi’s Seeker, Gerard runs for Araga, and Yusuf completes the course for Barry.

When the results come in, Team Meal Upgraders secures fifteen points, Team Taste Boosters earns ten, and the Flavour Builders take five. Sheba adds a bonus forty points to her team’s total after correctly guessing the soup flavour used in the round.

The second challenge, Final Upgrade Now, asks each team to select two models, one stylist and two cooks to put together a full presentation. Barry and Keivo cook for the Flavour Builders, Bluethopia and Bells for the Meal Upgraders, and Chimsom Chuka and Tram for the Taste Boosters. Nomy styles Flora and Sultex for the Flavour Builders, Gerard styles Aikou and Temi Nkem for the Taste Boosters, and Goddessa styles Oyin and Ricky for the Meal Upgraders. Each team presents their combined food and style showcase, demonstrating their knowledge of the Add Me seasoning along the way.

The Final Result

Once all rounds are complete, Team Meal Upgraders is declared the overall winner of the Add Me sponsored task with a total of 105 points. The celebration, however, comes with a mild hiccup, as Bluethopia later reveals to Oyin that Bells’ hair had ended up inside the cooking pot during the challenge, joking that she hopes Big Brother does not actually eat the dish, even as she remains glad the team secured the win.
