Housemates Give Honest Feedback on Chimsom Chuka’s Second HoH Reign
A wave of diary room confessions reveals a house divided over whether Chimsom Chuka's second term as leader is an improvement or a step back.
A string of diary room sessions gives fans of Big Brother Naija Season 11 a clearer picture of how the house genuinely feels about Chimsom Chuka’s second reign as Head of House, with reactions ranging from praise for his growth to quiet nostalgia for how things used to be.
The day itself puts his leadership to an early test. Chimsom Chuka calls a house meeting to address cleaning duties, the wager and the general plan for the day, but tension flares almost immediately when Ricky openly refuses to clean the area he has been assigned, despite pushback from the rest of the house. Earlier that morning, Chimsom Chuka had already clashed briefly with Yusuf after walking in on him and Ricky in the kitchen just before the meeting was set to begin. Rather than letting the friction linger, Chimsom Chuka pulls both Yusuf and Ricky aside once the meeting wraps up to clear the air, a move that sets the tone for how he chooses to handle conflict this time around.
Barry is quick to offer praise, telling Biggie that Chimsom Chuka’s return as HoH did not come as a surprise given his competitive nature, going as far as to call him the best Head of House the season has seen so far. Yusuf echoes similar sentiments, describing him as deserving of the role, less strict than during his first term, calmer overall, and doing a great job leading the house.
Not everyone shares the same enthusiasm. Sheba admits she actually preferred Chimsom Chuka’s first reign, noting that housemates have not truly been listening to his instructions since Abi’s time as Head of House. She adds that Chimsom Chuka intentionally chose to approach this term differently, having recognised that his first reign had damaged some of his relationships in the house.
Temi Nkem offers one of the more critical assessments, suggesting that Chimsom Chuka should be more hands on with the group’s wager preparations and generally more assertive with the house. She feels he has the capacity to be stricter but is choosing not to use it, and believes he is not commanding the same level of respect this time compared to his first term.
Gerard, serving as his deputy this time around, says he has noticed a genuine shift in Chimsom Chuka’s temperament, describing him as calmer and better at handling the housemates now that Gerard has had the chance to understand him more closely. Aikou offers a similarly balanced take, acknowledging that Chimsom Chuka still carries a leader’s spirit, but appears to be deliberately avoiding the mistakes of his first reign, careful not to come across as power drunk this time.
Chimsom Chuka’s own frustrations surface during a candid moment with Sheba, where he admits that housemates are not taking the wager seriously enough and expresses genuine irritation that his instructions are not being followed as closely as he would like. He even jokes that if he had five hundred million naira, he would not bother staying in the house at all, and would simply pay for everything instead.
With opinions split between admiration for his growth and concern that he may be holding back too much, Chimsom Chuka’s second term as Head of House continues to be one of the most closely scrutinised storylines in the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house.
