Chimsom Chuka Wins First Head of House on Big Brother Naija Season 11

A blistering 2:08.17 run made Chimsom Chuka the first Head of House of the season — then Biggie flipped the script with two surprise twists.

Chimsom Chuka Wins First Head of House as Week One Takes an Unexpected Turn

Just when the housemates thought they had a handle on the game, Biggie proved otherwise. Chimsom Chuka has been crowned the first Head of House of Big Brother Naija Season 11 after topping the debut Head of House Challenge — and his win came with immunity from this week’s eviction, plus two twists nobody in the house saw coming.

How the Challenge Played Out

Week one’s Head of House Challenge split the house by gender: the men raced against each other on time, while the women ran a separate heat for the fastest completion. Housemates were eliminated from contention one by one as the clock worked against them, narrowing the field down to the strongest performers in each group.

Ricky was first out of the gate for the men, but it was Chimsom Chuka — the third man to attempt the challenge — who set an untouchable pace at 2 minutes 8.17 seconds. Nobody else in the male lineup came close to matching it.

On the women’s side, Sheba briefly held the fastest time before Abi overtook her to finish as the quickest female housemate. Even so, Abi’s time wasn’t enough to challenge Chimsom Chuka’s overall lead, and he walked away with the season’s first Head of House title.

Chimsom Chuka Is Big Brother Naija Season 11‘s First Head of House

With the win, Chimsom Chuka secures immunity from nominations this week, making him the only housemate guaranteed safety as the house heads into its first eviction cycle. Abi’s runner-up finish among the women earned her the Deputy Head of House role for the week.

The Head of House Lounge Twist

Biggie wasn’t done there. In a first for the show, the Head of House no longer gets automatic access to the exclusive HoH Lounge. Instead, Chimsom Chuka had to pick a name at random from a lucky dip box — and the name he pulled was Tram, instantly handing Tram the power to decide who would join him in the lounge.

Tram didn’t hesitate, choosing Sheba to share the privilege with him.

The result: Chimsom Chuka holds the Head of House title and immunity, but it’s Tram and Sheba who get to enjoy the season’s first stint in the HoH Lounge — an early reminder that on Big Brother Naija, power and privilege don’t always land in the same hands.

What This Means for Week One

With Chimsom Chuka safe and the rest of the house now heading toward nominations, all eyes turn to who the housemates will put up for eviction in the days ahead. As Deputy Head of House, Abi may also carry some influence over how the week plays out.
