Chimsom Chuka Wins Big Brother Naija 2026 Week 5 Head of House
Speed, balance and a locked box challenge decide the crown, before a silent envelope twist reshapes how nominations play out.
Chimsom Chuka finally clinches the Head of House crown for the second time this season, while a brand new nomination twist leaves the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house on edge heading into another tense week.
The battle for the crown returns to the arena on Day 29, and this time it is Chimsom Chuka who walks away with it, powered through by speed, accuracy and a cool head under pressure across four demanding rounds.
The HoH Challenge
The competition opens with a game called Double Up and Match, which sees housemates dashing between hula hoops to collect coloured balls before placing each one on its matching cone, with speed and accuracy determining who advances. The eight fastest housemates from that round move on to Roundabout, a balancing test that requires racing across the arena while juggling three balls at once, including an awkwardly shaped figure eight gym ball.
From there, four survivors, Chimsom Chuka, Sheba, Barry and Gerard, take on Roll A Point, a challenge that involves rolling tyres through the scoring doors of an upturned house to rack up points. Only the two highest scorers, Chimsom Chuka and Gerard, advance to the final round.
The final comes down to a mix of piΓ±atas, hidden keys and ten locked boxes, with only one box containing the treasure needed to win. Chimsom Chuka gets there first, successfully unlocking the correct box to claim the Head of House crown for the second time this season. Araga finishes as the worst performer of the challenge, while Bells is disqualified entirely and named the week’s Bench Warmer as a result.
Conspiracy Hour and an Unexpected Twist
Ahead of the live nomination show, Big Brother calls the housemates back together for another round of Conspiracy Hour, followed by a fresh twist to the usual process. Every housemate receives an envelope bearing their own name and is asked to write down two housemates they want to save from possible eviction, done in complete silence with no one allowed to see what anyone else writes. Housemates are permitted to save anyone except themselves.
During the live nomination show, each housemate holds up their envelope for the house to see, reads out their two chosen names, and explains the reasoning behind their picks, adding a layer of transparency not seen in previous weeks.
Who Is Safe and Who Is Up for Eviction
Immunity this week belongs to Chimsom Chuka as Head of House, Abi as this week’s Most Influential Player, and Flora and Aikou as the season’s Gambits. Chimsom Chuka also used his HoH veto save to extend protection to Sheba.
That leaves Araga, Barry, Bells, Bluethopia, Gerard, Goddessa, Keivo, Nomy, Oyin, Ricky, Sultex, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf facing possible eviction this week. As the week’s Bench Warmer, Bells is automatically included on the eviction list alongside the rest of the nominated housemates.
