Big Brother Naija 2026 Week 1 Vote Result, Percentage and Eviction

The results of the Big Brother Naija Season 11 Week 1 public vote are finally here, as viewers across Nigeria voted for the two housemates they wanted to become the Gambit of the season.

Unlike previous seasons, Week One featured fake nominations, meaning no housemate was actually at risk of eviction. Instead, Big Brother introduced The Gambit, a brand new twist that allows viewers to choose one male and one female housemate for a special role that guarantees them a place in the grand finale, although they will not be eligible to compete for the 160 million naira grand prize.

Before revealing the Week One vote results, here is a quick recap of how the nomination process unfolded.

Week 1 Nominations

The first nomination show of Big Brother Naija Season 11 delivered plenty of surprises as all twenty four housemates entered the Diary Room to make their first nominations of the season.

Following his victory in the inaugural Head of House Challenge, Chimsom Chuka secured immunity from nominations, making him the only housemate safe before the nomination process began.

Each of the remaining housemates nominated two fellow contestants they wanted to face possible eviction. Just when everyone expected the final eviction list to be announced, Biggie introduced a major twist that completely changed the game.

Here is everything you need to know about the Big Brother Naija 2026 Week 1 nomination results, the voting breakdown, and The Gambit twist.

Week 1 Nomination Results

After all the votes were counted, Ricky emerged as the most nominated housemate, receiving seven nominations. Bells, Nomy and Sultex also attracted several nominations, while Araga, Barry, Bluethopia, Kamsy, Neche and Chimsom Chuka escaped without receiving a single nomination.

Which Housemates Are Up For Eviction This Week

Surprisingly, no housemate is up for eviction in Week One. Although the housemates completed the full nomination process, Biggie revealed that the nominations were fake, meaning every contestant remains safe from eviction this week. The announcement stunned both the housemates and viewers, proving once again that Big Brother Naija Season 11 is full of unexpected twists.

The Gambit Twist Explained

Instead of placing nominated housemates on the eviction list, Big Brother unveiled a brand new twist called The Gambit. Under this twist, viewers voted for one male housemate and one female housemate to become the season’s Gambits. The two successful housemates will enjoy several unique advantages throughout the competition.

Benefits of becoming the Gambit include a guaranteed place in the Big Brother Naija Season 11 grand finale, protection from eviction throughout the season, eligibility to participate in all house activities, and the ability to compete in Head of House challenges, weekly tasks and nominations. Big Brother will also assign the Gambits special responsibilities as the season progresses. Although both Gambits will reach the grand finale automatically, they will not compete for the 160 million naira grand prize.
